Do you rock the high score in your crowd? Maybe it’s time to prove your skills in a real challenge!

Join Orlando Science Center and Powder Keg Games for a series of gaming competitions at Otronicon! All four days, enter for a chance to win cash prizes and be proclaimed champion as you compete in a number of games including “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2,” “Halo 4,” “Super Smash Bros. Brawl” and “Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition.”

Prizes
  • Prizes will be awarded as a cash prize upon completion of competition.
  • 1st place will receive 75% of total possible cash prize amount and 2nd place will receive 25% of total prize amount. Each competition cash prize is based on each individual game’s entrant totals.
  • Example: 20 total entrants for a competition at $5.00/entrant gives a total prize amount of $100.00. 1st place prize will be $75.00. 2nd place prize will be $25.00.

 

General Rules
  1. Admission to the Orlando Science Center is required for all competitions.
  2. Registration is required for all competitions. This is done on-site at the Orlando Science Center.
  3. Players may enter multiple events.
  4. Mature Gaming consent forms are required for all competitions if under the age of 17. Players may need to verify proof of age over 17. Under 18 players will need a parent present or a signed Mature Gaming Consent Form at the event; this includes Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
  5. You must be registered for your competition no later than 30 minutes before competition start time.
  6. Each competition is $5.00 to compete per person, per game.
  7. Players must use only the controllers provided by Orlando Science Center. No outside controllers are allowed, and may be confiscated.    
  8. Competition is greatly encouraged, but excessive taunting or threatening will not be tolerated
  9. All decisions made by Orlando Science Center or Powder Keg Games are Final, and not subject to appeal.

Mature Game Parental Consent Form
  • Parents need to complete this form for any child under the age of 17 who would like to participate in mature gaming content and any competitions.
  • Parents only need to complete one form per child for the entire event (Friday-Monday).  
  • Visitors may turn in their completed consent forms to the Clubhouse on Level 1 throughout the entire event.  
  • A wristband will be given to identify that they are approved for “M” games/content.

Please note that registration for all competitions is onsite at Orlando Science Center only. There are no online registrations for competitions.
